The co-founder of Bloq and other cryptocurrency initiatives Matthew Roszak presented a physical bitcoin to Kim Kardashian, a popular social media celebrity during the 1st annual “If Only’ Texas Hold’Em Charity Poker Tournament”. First announced on Twitter, Roszak gave a bitcoin to Kim in hopes to promote its use.

Along with Kim Kardashian, there were many other celebrities that hosted tables at the event. Kim quickly posted on her Instagram along with two pictures of a physical bitcoin. Furthermore, the caption read, “We moved onto bitcoin”.
However, several Redditors claimed that Kardashian could bring in more users to the world of cryptocurrency from her followers base of 114 million. During a conference in San Francisco that covers entertainment, technology and design, Roszak mentioned Kardashians during a presentation. Presenting the image of KardashianCoin, Roszak said that the Kardashians can tokenize and create their own economy. Moreover, calling it a reward points on steroids, he said,“Every brand, every artist, every tribe, can tokenize their economy.”

Rozak Hopeful for Bitcoin
Roszak said that the tokens are used to give incentives to early adopters and represent rights of participation to new protocols. He further said, “That’s a big change for investors, for participants and developers that want to reimagine certain layers of the Internet.” Mentioning that it is a bold statement for a technology that has its existence scratching back to less than a decade, Roszak said, “Bitcoin is one of the greatest inventions of our time.” However, this was not the first attempt to draw the Kardashians’ attention to the cryptocurrency business. Back in 2014, a tech group called Kim Coindashian Developers had offered Kim a business plan to get her support.
