Yet another mobile launches cryptocurrency wallet. China’s Cheetah mobile has announced the launch of its cryptocurrency wallet.
Launching its new SafeWallet, they have announced that their Android platform is available for its users, making storing and managing their cryptocurrency assets an easier task. iOs app is on its way, soon.
With this SafeWallet you can send, receive, create multiple wallets, as well as, import wallets of variety of formats. The app is currently enabled only for bitcoin and ether, and other cryptocurrencies will be soon added. The spokesperson for Cheetah app stated,
“SafeWallet employs a unique three-tiered security defense system that protects users in three key areas, including user behavior, phone security and asset management to provide maximum protection for users’ digital assets and prevent them from being lost or stolen.”
The company emphasizes that the app doesn’t access users’ private key, and initiate nay transactions on their behalf.
Cheetah Mobile already provides mobile security products such as Clean Master and Security Master, and currently claims that more than 100 million customers use its products daily.
This move comes in tandem with other mobile apps launching their wallets, like Square and Line Corporation, adding to their current payment apps.
Messaging app Kik has even launched its own token called “kin” to power its ecosystem and raise funds for the company.
