Belarus is growing less Crypto friendly.

Belarus is now getting less crypto friendly, the government is reportedly amending its decree to impose strict KYC rules.

Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko signed the decree in January that legalized cryptocurrencies, The decree went into effect in March.

Local Belarus media reported this week that amendments to obligate cryptocurrency exchanges operating within the High-Tech Park (HTP) to disclose their data and identify customers.

Beneficiaries must meet the requirements such as having no criminal record, no bankruptcy proceedings, availability of funds in accounts of at least $5 million and confirm the sources of their origin.
